The Treatment

I did more research on what a treatment is, and i made a final treatment to go along with my script and storyboard for my final animation idea.

This is the main story, and what i eventually hope to bring to life with my Artwork in animation.

Ideas. Ideas. Ideas. It was fun really thinking out the process of this one and creating an actual plot and storyline.

(Apparently you can't insert documents, so, copying and pasting here.)

The Storyboard Script!

I recently created a revised and finalized storyboard and script. For my future full fledged animation. I will continue building and working on this project hopefully in the FALL Semester. But i will definitley do some research and continue progressing from the ideas i already know, this summer.

I have completed all 16 of the pages of constant drawing and sketches for my story.
Buttt i'm only going to tease you all. Enjoy :)

Note: (You can click on the images to enlarge them for full view)

Here are at least 5 sketches. (Sneakpeeks of what is to come)

Another project of mine, is my quick rendition of a Take and Head Turn. The project was interesting. I definitely could added more "Umph" to it. But for practice sake, i think it achieved its purpose.

Here a sample drawing from it:

And here is the Vimeo Link. Enjoy.

Sneak Preview. All my Linework and Color for the Lip Sync Project are now complete ^___^
I truly think this is my best project yet this year, and i have grown as an animator. Video/Vimeo link coming soon.

My Character Ko Akata.

Just wanted to share one of the few animators that really helped me along in the successful completion of my animation project: Lip-sync. His name is Dj Nicke. A lot of other tutorials were halfway decent on youtube, but i found myself more confused than helped on. But when i browsed and did research to find this Dope animator, my project really began to bloom and i began truly understanding what animation was about, and how to bring things to life,

Dj Nicke Himself
The way he explained things in a simple matter truly helped me as an artist as well as an animator. The key point that he made that truly inspired me was when he said that: "A technique for animation that will help you pump out better animation, faster." "Nothing  is that complicated when you break it down into easy steps." These amazing 4 steps were:
1) Foundation
2) Structure: You wouldn't detail a house without laying the slabs down first!
3) Details: Emotion. (Happy, angry, sad) make the animation more believable.
4) Polish: Real time is spent, adding in the personality, the real character. (mood of the character)

This helped me, not just with facial animation, but the overall structure of my animation.

Over the last 2 days of class, we began our Lip Sync project. For this project we are working on animating a scene where our character is actually talking. with the input of an audio file.

We learned about the different phonemes, that go along with human speech. AEIOU and the vowels that are used in everyday human language.

The plan is to use this concept to give the illusion of our character having a moving mouth.

Attached is a sample Phoneme. To make this project quick and efficient we will be making use of motion and graphic tweens. The professor told us we will be drawing a mouth, on our specific character, convert it into a graphic symbol. And draw the rest of the natural mouth movements.

Long story short, its an extensive project. Stay tuned.

I Put the finishing touches on my Take and head turn project. The Shape of it all pleases me, and i believe i got the movement and timing down pat. All that is left is to render some type of timing sheet.

Link to vimeo coming soon...
I did quite a lot of research on drawing, and poses and proportions because i was unhappy with the way my animation was coming along. Youtube proved to be very helpful. Tutorials from animators such as Jazza, and Real Life Artist such as Sycra on youtube helped me understand how things move. Realism is a technique i wish to achieve in my artwork. With my new experience, i really feel like im getting it, my animation is going to be the best EVER!!

Time Sheet

03/30/2016 UPDATE:

Today in Animation class, we focused on Time Sheets. The concept behind Time Sheets is to get the timing as well as balance as far as the motion of a movement concerning your animated project. It helps you set up key poses and key frames, then filling in the In-betweens for a seamless natural movement. Very Interesting. A Demonstration of this concept coming soon.
